
VPN with Linux
Setting up vpnwebservices.com access under Linux is simple.
The following instructions go step by step through the
creation process.
STEP 1 OpenNetworkManager
From the desktop click on the Network Manager icon in the top tight hand corner,
click on VPN Connections and Configure VPN.
If you cant see the Network Manager
icon, you can open network manager by clicking on System > Preferences > Network
Configuration and then click on the VPN tab.

STEP 3 Choosetheconnectiontype
Ensure the connection type is PPTP and click Create:

STEP 4 EnterVPNAccountDetails
The gateway enter one of the VPNwebservices server IP addresses sent to you by
email. In the Connection name field, enter VPNwebservices UK for one of the UK server
IPs or VPNwebservices US if using a US IP. The same goes for our Canadian server.
Enter your user-name and password sent to in your registration email

STEP 5 AdvancedSettings
Select both MSCHAP and MSCHAPv2 options.
Check the box labeled Use Point to Point encryption (PPTP) and then click OK. Click OK again to save the VPN.

STEP 6 ConnecttotheVPN
Now start the VPN connection by clicking on the Network Manager Icon again, select
VPN Connections and click on the new connection you havecreated.

STEP 7 Allowaccesstokeyring
You will see a verification window prompting you to allow access to your keyring,
click on Always Allow.

The Network Manager icon should now have a little padlock icon on it to indicate
that the VPN is now connected.
